One More Seat For Pakatan Rakyat !!

Looking good so far. Reports from Kuala Terengganu indicated that Pas candidate is leading by a margin of 2,224. I know its too early to celebrate but i just can't wipe this silly grin on my face.
Alhamdulillah. Pak Lah, Najib and TV3 especially, learn to accept defeat. Yo guys should get used to it already.

But as a strong supporter of democracy, most of all i would like the BN as the ruling government to act with more humbility (is that a word?). What the rakyat is rooting for is sincerity in doing whatever obligation. It just goes to prove that you can't promise development for the sake of winning votes. Stop bad mouthing your opponent. Learn to accept your own mistakes. Earn the respect of the voters first before you start promising the world. Seriously, only the less educated and the project desperados could vote for BN.

Malaysia Next Prime Minister

Looks like the country is gearing up towards 2009 with prospect of a new Prime Mimister. Lots have been said about the ineffectiveness of our current Prime Minister (PM), Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi (Pak Lah).

Trying very hard to take a partial view of the situation, the candidates seems to narrow down to Datuk Seri Najib and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. It would be interesting if a poll can be conducted to determine the more popular choice of the two. But that is a wishful thinking.

The way it goes, since Barisan National (BN) holds the majority of the Parlimentary seats, the head of BN technically holds the edge for the post. And since UMNO holds the most seat among the BN political parties (comprises of UMNO, MCA, MIC etc), the country's number one post will be decided by UMNO members. Fair ? Nope? I don't think so either. The other bigger political parties mainly MCA and MIC will of course accept the UMNO choice in the spirit of compromise and toleration. Which bring us to the question. What about US ? Does OUR opinion counts ? It is questions asked by millions other Malaysian people who does not belong to any political group. We care too but some of us are way too smart to be associated with any political parties.

So in the spirit of loving OUR nation and with rationale minds, let US take a closer look at the candidates:

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak
Are you as nervous as I am to accept this guy as your PM? If the post is open for interview he would not even qualify to apply for the job. There's not even a glimpse of brilliance or anything that stand out during his tenure as TPM. Maybe his stint there is too short to evaluate, just to be fair. Would he surprise US with bright ideas and new policies? His supposedly connections with Altantuya and Saiful seems to supersede any good impression that he could have had on us. How to fix the mess ? Not sure how one could do it but he realy has to come clean on those issues. Convince US !! However, Malaysian people are easy to forgive and forget should he turn out to be a savior or a genius of some kind upon his appointment as PM.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim
He is as close as an automatic choice as PM if he is still in UMNO. With that said, he is simply what Najib is not. Leadership qualities ? What else can you term a man who is battered and bruised, send to jail, implicated in sodomy and power corruption yet still came out of it smelling like roses. Is it because of the same Malaysian forgive and forget attitude? Nope!! I don't think Malaysian would ever condone such act. We just don't believe he did it. All signs and indication pointed to a wrong imprisonment of an innocent man. Was it a government's conspiracy? We surely can't prove it but for him to came out stronger after all that had happened, it goes to show you just how big is this man's heart.
Thousands of crowds cramped in just to hear his speech. Was he all words? No action ? Only time could tell.
